AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION PROJECT
Type and Scope of Investment
The aim of the Agricultural Production Project is to support fruit and vegetable production by means of supplying seed, seedling and fertilizer and technical assistance to the regional farmers on product basis through contracted farmer organization.
Place of Investment
The project has been implemented in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, within the borders of primarily Sanliurfa province.
Project Capacity
Seedlings and saplings of various fruit and vegetables will be planted in this facility to be built by utilizing the advanced technology. 250,000 seedlings and saplings on a one-decare field has been offered to farmers.
FRUIT AND VEGETABLE SHOCKING PROJECT
Type and Scope of Investment
This project is about harvesting, cleaning, shocking and cold storage of fresh vegetables, and will be realized as completely new investment. The first stage targets at making contracts with regional producers and ensuring that they produce according to the project. The production will be made under the control Doğu Investment Holding and higher rate of production and standard quality will be achieved. For the next stage, foreign currency inflow of significant amounts will be provided resulting from export of project products to the world markets.
Place of Investment
The project has been realized within the borders of Sanliurfa province in the Southeastern Anatolia Region.
Project Capacity
The project capacity has been planned as 150 kg of hybrid seed, 10,000 tons of pulp* derivatives, 20,000 tons of shocked vegetable, 7,000 tons of canned food, 8,000 tons of fruit juice, and 5,000 tons of storage capacity per year.
SEED AND SEEDLING PROJECT
Type and Scope of Investment
A Seed and Seedling project will be put into practice as completely new investment within the Doğu Investment Holding in order to cultivate seeds, seedlings and saplings of fruits, vegetables, flowers and trees and to market the products grown both within and outside the region thanks to the modern greenhouse and laboratory facilities to be built.
Place of Investment
The project will be realized within the borders of Sanliurfa province in the Southeastern Anatolia Region.
Project Capacity
The project aims to achieve annually 30,000 tons of fruit and vegetable seeds, 13,000 tons of flower and tree seeds, and 10,000 tree seedlings and saplings.
COLD STORAGE PROJECT
Type and Scope of Investment
It has been planned that a cold storage house will be constructed to preserve and stock fruits and vegetables, which is likely to go bad, produced across the region as fresh; this cold storage project will completely new investment.
Project Capacity
The capacity of the storage house to be built in a size of 5,000 m2 will allow keeping 5,000 tons of products annually.
FOOD PRODUCTS PROCESSING PROJECT
Type and Scope of Investment
This project is on growing potato, corn chips and similar products and the processing facility is planned as a new complete investment.
Project Capacity
The outcome of the project is targeted as 3,000 tons of finished product by processing 25,000 tons of raw materials per annum.
INTEGRATED POULTRY PROJECT
Type and Scope of Investment
This investment is an Integrated Poultry (Chicken) Enterprise. This complete new investment is planned to comprise a Breeder Poultry Enterprise, Broiler Poultry Enterprise, Poultry Slaughterhouse, Meat Derivatives and a modern feed factory. The underlying goal of the project is to create business fields and production facilities, and thus to prevent currently ongoing migration and to make use of labor force in places where individuals live.
Place of Investment
The project has been realized within the borders of Diyarbakir province in the Southeastern Anatolia Region.
Project Capacity
The capacity is scheduled as 90,000 breeder chickens, 7,800,000 eggs, and 6,000,000 broiler chickens per year. The annual capacity of slaughterhouse will be 12,000 tons, annual capacity of shocking unit 20,000 tons and annual production yield at the feed factory will be 24,000 tons.
SPRING WATER PROJECT
Type and Scope of Investment
The project is intended to bottle and market spring water in a completely new facility.
The goal of investment is to use water resources existing within regional provinces especially in Diyarbakir, yet not used economically, and to gain such water resources to the national economy, and this way to solve the potable problem across the region. It has been planned that the water to be commercially bottled will be marketed in the domestic market and in the Middle East countries.
TREE PLANTATIONS PROJECT
Type and Scope of Investment
The scope of the project specifically being combating erosion include also the aims of conserving, improving and beautifying the greeneries and nature as well as planting fast-growing seedling and trees as raw material for packaging and furniture sectors and export of such items as well.
WOODEN PREFABRICATED HOUSES PROJECT
Type and Scope of Investment
The wooden houses project is a full-scale investment and oriented at development of the Eastern Black Sea Region. The basis of the project of manufacturing prefabricated structures where the primary material is wood. The goal of Doğu Investment Holding is to gain the Eastern Black Sea Region a new and pioneering industrial activity thanks to this project on the one hand, and on the other, to advance tourism in this region that is rich in forests and a paradise of natural beauties and offer an opportunity of having holiday to the people in a healthy environment.
PROJECT FOR MANUFACTURE OF GREENHOUSE MATERIALS
Type and Scope of Investment
The project covers the establishment of facilities for manufacturing greenhouse materials required for the largest greenhouse projects in Turkey for the Harran Plain, and it will be realized a completely new investment.
Growing greenhouse business in the Harran Plain will for sure increase the demand for greenhouse materials. This new to-be-designed project aims at both responding to demand to occur in the region and contributing to the national economy by means of exporting such materials under the project.
PROJECT FOR MANUFACTURE OF AGRICULTURAL TOOLS AND MACHINERIES
Type and Scope of Investment
This facility designed to manufacture the machinery, tool and equipment necessary for Agricultural Mechanization in the best possible conditions will positively contribute to the development of region. The machinery and tools to be manufactured at this facility for the agricultural mechanization of the region will address to the needs of domestic and foreign markets. Additionally, it will enable more people gain income thanks to sub-industry to be created in the region. The project aims at manufacturing the machinery and equipment necessary for the agricultural mechanization within a short period of time.
HOTEL AND TOURISM PROJECT - 1
Type and Scope of Investment
This project includes a 5-star modern hotel having conference hall, cinema and restaurant sections in Diyarbakir. This project is co-investment of Doğu Investment Holding and Dedeman Hotel Management.
Project Capacity
Capacity choice depends on demand and supply function. The necessary capacity for the project has been found by associating the minimum economical capacities determined by cost - capacity relation with the demand and supply difference. The capacities stipulated by the project are given below.
Guest rooms are of quality in 5-star hotels, 30 m2 and with double bed. The number of these types of rooms will be 120 in total. In addition to these standard 5-star hotel room, there are 8 suite rooms and 2 king suites. So, 300 people can be hosted simultaneously in the hotel with additional beds when desired. The conference hall and cinema is projected to serve for the social activities of 1,000 people at the same time.
Since local customers will also use the hotel restaurant beside the hotel clients, its capacity has been planned as 800 people. Moreover, a car park of 1500 m2 will meet the need for parking of the clients and ensure the vehicle security.
HOTEL AND TOURISM PROJECT - 2
Type and Scope of Investment
The investment has been realized in the Kars – Sarikamis Region as a completely new hotel construction on a public estate allocated to tourism business by the Ministry of Tourism.
Place of Investment
The hotel has been built in the vicinity of Baliklidag – Camurludag dedicated to tourism activities and as a tourist attraction by the Ministry of Tourism in Sarikamis, Suphan – Cibiltepe.
Project Capacity
The hotel has a bed capacity of 310 on a 15-decare land total.
TABLELAND TOURISM PROJECT IN THE EASTERN BLACK SEA
Type and Scope of Investment
This project is oriented at tableland tourism in the Eastern Black Sea Region, and planned as holiday resort comprising wooded buildings in conformity with the cultural architecture of the region with all other social facilities. The capacity of the project will be determined later.
Place of Investment
The project will be realized in two tablelands located within the borders of Rize and Artvin in the Eastern Black Sea Region.
Project Capacity
The capacity is projected as the following based on the infrastructure in the tablelands, access roads, alternative motives to be provided (rafting, hiking, trekking, grass skiing, swimming, hunting, etc.).
The wooden bungalows planned as 32 m2 and 50m2 will have one and two rooms respectively. One-room bungalows will have double bed, and two-room bungalows will have 4 beds. Moreover, another complex including 62 m2 detached houses with kitchens as well are planned. The complex will have a restaurant of 500-people capacity to serve both the hotel customers and other daily visitors and a cafeteria of 200 people in addition to another space for social activities and events.
FREE TRADE ZONE PROJECT
Type and Scope of Investment
The Free Trade Zones to be opened by the Igdir and Habur border gates will facilitate the foreign trade of the respective regions and financially empower the region. This project will result in new job opportunities and business fields and emigration, the most important problem of the region, will be prevented to some extent. The regional products will also be marketing and market opportunities thanks to the Free Trade Zones since the marketing is a problem in these regions for geographical obstacles.
Place of Investment
The project will initially be realized in the province of Igdir in the Eastern Anatolia Region.
Project Capacity
The capacity depends on supply and demand function. Because the passage density is not steady in today’s circumstances, the developments should be monitored for more to ascertain the capacity.
PROJECT FOR MANUFACTURE OF DEFENSE INDUSTRY AMMUNITION
Type and Scope of Investment
This project has been planned to manufacture cartridges of 7.65 and 9 mm, and the investment will be completely new.
Justification for Project
The project is a completely new investment to manufacture cartridges of 7.65 and 9 mm.
There is significant disparity between the supply and demand of cartridges for civilian purposes in Turkey. The government-owned Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation is the only manufacturer, and this corporation imports certain parts for cartridges and assembles at its facilities. Considering the increasing export potential, a cartridge factory of economic scale to be founded may dedicate its entire capacity to export.
PROJECT FOR READY-MADE GARMENTS
Type and Scope of Investment
The Eastern Black Sea Region is the leading region most emigrating due to underdevelopment in terms of agricultural and industrial activities.
Quick improvement and inter-country relations notably surrounding the Black Sea due to dissolution of the Soviet Union and opening of Sarp Border Gate and demand for goods by tourists coming from these countries have brought about new business opportunities for the region.
It is estimated that ready-made garments, which is a major export item of our country, can be manufactured in this region with lower costs compared to western parts, and be export from this region. Therefore, the project aims at manufacturing and exporting ready-made garments.
Place of Investment
The project activities will be put into practice by getting use idle facilities and buildings in Rize, Artvin, Gümüşhane and Bayburt.
Project Capacity
It is planned that each facility will manufacture 10-50 thousand pieces underwear and outwear per year with in turn minimum 2 million dollars of export.
